Marine Corps League, Washtenaw County Detachment #414
THE DEFINITION OF
A VETERAN: A veteran -- whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve -- is someone who,
at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The " United States of America", for an amount
of "up to and including my life." That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer
understand it. --Author Unknown
Only two defining forces
have ever offered to die for you - Jesus Christ and American Servicemen & Women. One died for your soul; the other
for your freedom.

Members
of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions
and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. This is accomplished by banding together those
who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service;
voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines and former Marines and to their widows and orphans,
and by perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries
of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
|
The Marine Corps
League's purpose is to promote the good will of the United States Marine Corps, assist present and former Marines and
their families, widows and orphans and to provide community service.
